My Father was a child of the 1920's, and 30's, and was a young man in the 40's. His love of the music of that time was instilled in his four sons. I loved the tunes and the lyrics, and started writing poetry from the end of high school on. I was enthralled with the poetry of the lyrics of Porter, Berlin, Ira Gershwin, Yip Harburg, Hart, Fields, Leigh, Hammerstein, Dietz, Burke, Loesser and so many others, and of course, Johnny Mercer. These were the lyric masters of most of the 20th Century. This site is my attempt to approach the wonderful work they've done and to come as close as I can to continue that tradition into the new century with new, original songs. I am not a professional singer, but, it has been my desire to share these songs with you. It is also my hope that you will feel the emotion, longing, hope, and love in the words of each song. "On the 405," and "The Laundromat" are story songs. "Fairy Tale Princes" is a look back at how we are touched by these. The rest are songs of love lost and gained, or just enjoyed. And that is what I hope You get from this site. Enjoyment. Thank You for visiting.
